How do I get him to ask me out?

Now, I’m going to cut a long story short here, if a guy is really interested and keen to pursue something, he will take your number and he will ask you out. If you’ve given all the hints, he is single and has some degree of self-confidence, and he still hasn’t - it’s probably time to move on.

But there will be times when a little effort from you will boost his confidence and showing him you’re interested can really help move things along.

So, from a woman that used to be a pro at this:

  • Be flirty. If you’re not naturally flirty, go OTT on the flirtation - what feels like a lot for you, won’t feel anything like that much for him!

  • Ask him questions and show an interest in his life, what he’s doing at that moment, or even what he’s wearing!

  • Make it clear you’re single and available. Casually dropping in a reference to “a guy I went on a date with the other week” is fab.

  • Give him the in: reference a conversation you’d like to continue, an activity it would be fun for you to do together or some information you’d love to receive from him. That makes it super easy for him to say “let me take your number so I can…”

  • Be yourself - don’t put too much pressure on anything, focus on having fun with him and you both feeling good and he will want to spend more time with you!

Remember, guys like to be around people that make them feel good. (As do we all!). So the better he feels around you, the more likely he will want to see you again.

And remember, even if he doesn’t ask you at the time, he may well look you up after or ask a mutual friend for your number.

And if not, there really are plenty more fish in the sea, so get swimming!
